▷ Please follow the steps below even if it is shown as

"under connected condition" on the Bluetooth setting page.


1. Go to the Bluetooth setting page on your smartphone.

   (Please check your own Xelfie on the list of "MY DEVICES")


 

 

2. Turn off the Bluetooth function.


 

 

 

3. Turn on the Bluetooth function.

 

 

 

4. Press the button to make Xelfie to be in standby mode.   (The indicator LED will blink at regular intervals.)


 

 

 

5. Select your Xelfie to reconnect on the list of "MY DEVICES" on the Bluetooth setting page.

 


6. After connected, Xelfie will work normally.

The update instruction is written based on the update provided by the website of each manufacturer.

 

For Samsung smartphone users:

For LG smartphone users:

Please refer to the remote OS update from the LGE customer center.

 

It takes 30 minutes for the update.

It is impossible to restore to the previous OS version due to the Samsung security policies if updated to 4.4.2.

Please back up your important files in advance because files may be deleted during the update.

 

 

n  Samsung Galaxy

You can use Xelfie without installing additional apps in the Android OS 4.4.2.

 

There are 2 ways to update the OS.

Wireless update from the smartphone itself

Wired update through the program after installing the program on the PC

 

The first or the wireless update is the method which directly checks the update from Configuration > More > Device Information > Software Update or the automatic software update window if there exists an update for the smartphone.

 

The OS update starts if you click the 'Installation' button on the bottom of the screen if there appears 'OS Upgrade - KitKat OS 4.4.2' on the update information history.

 


If the wireless update fails, you have to do the wired update through the Kies program of SEC on the PC. 

Download the Samsung Kies 3 through the link below or download the attachment file.

Open the downloaded file for the installation.

Please proceed below after the installation is completed. 

Check the update video on the address below.

1) Run Kies.

2) Plug in the data cable (USB cable) to the PC and then the smartphone to connect the smartphone to the PC.

3) The basic information window of the program displays the mobile phone information if the smartphone is connected.

4) Check new update information.

   "New firmware exist" message pops up if there exists new update and "Firmware Upgrade" button is activated.

5) Click the "Firmware Upgrade" button.

6) Mark the checkbox on the left side of the message "I accept the contents above" in the middle of the screen after the terms of agreement screen appears.

7) "Start the upgrade" button is activated if you agree the terms of agreement.Click the "Start the Upgrade" button to start the firmware upgrade.

8) The firmware is automatically downloaded and the installation starts.Do not pull out the smartphone from the cable during the upgrade.

9) Click the "OK" button after the upgrade is completed.

10) The upgrade succeeds if "Latest firmware" message appears on the basic information screen.  

※ It takes 30 minutes for the update.

1) The smartphone connected to Xelfie stores the connected Xelfie information.

2) After the manual connection, the smartphone automatically connects Xelfie next time.

3) There is no way to find out which smartphone connects Xelfie if there are more than 2 smartphones connected to the same Xelfie once. (How to check: Click the Xelfie button and the LED blinks whenever the button is pressed without blinking the LED)

 

Solution)

1) Disconnect the Bluetooth connection.

   . The Bluetooth connection is automatically disconnected if the distance from the connected smartphone is far. (20m at least)

   . The Bluetooth connection is automatically disconnected if 5 minutes pass without pressing the button.

   . Detach and attach the battery again.

2) Follow the instruction for connection as stated in the Xelfie manual in a place with no smartphone turning on the Bluetooth.

21 Xelfie [First] There are several Xelfie on list.

1) Xelfie connects the smartphone through the Bluetooth.

2) The user should connect the device through the configuration screen on the smartphone for the first connection after the purchase.

3) However, several Xelfies appear on the Bluetooth configuration screen if there are several Xelfies around. (No way to find out which Xelfie belongs to the user)

 

Solution)

1) Xelfie provides 2-digit serial number with XX following the device name (Xelfie). This leads the user to identify his or her Xelfie.

2) Firstly connect Xelfie in a place without other Xelfie. Then, check your Xelfie signal number.

1) Xelfie connects the smartphone through the Bluetooth.

2) The user should connect the device through the configuration screen on the smartphone for the first connection after the purchase.

3) However, another user may connect the device if you try to connect it in a place with a lot of smartphones turning on the Bluetooth.

4) Xelfie does not appear on your smartphone if it is connected to another user.

   (How to check: Click the Xelfie button and the LED blinks whenever the button is pressed without blinking the LED)

 

Solution)
